PPC OFFICERS

 

The duties and responsibilities of the officers of the parish ministries and apostolates are presented below. 

 

The duties and responsibilities presented for each officer are common to all ministries and apostolates. 

 

Minor differences may come up as a result of the unique or particular service of each parish ministry.

 

a.      Chairperson

 

(1)   Formulates proposed programs and estimates costs for the same at the start of the    pastoral year;

(2)   Presents programs and budgets to the Budgets Hearing Committee for review and approval;

(3)   Directs implementation and approved programs subject to budget limitations;

(4)   Conducts regular and special meetings of the ministry to monitor program implementation and to promote greater coordination with the BEC Zone and kawans;

(5)   Represents the ministry at PICC meeting and provide information or discusses activities of the ministries at these meetings.

(6)   Attends meetings and participates in activities initiated at the vicariate, districts or archdiocesan levels.

 

b.     Vice-Chairperson

 

(1)   Assists in the implementation of ministry programs as may be requested by the

Chairperson

(2)   Acts as chairperson in the absence or unavailability of the latter.

(3)   Performs the other tasks as may be directed by the Chairperson.

 

c.     Secretary

 

(1)   Sends notices of meetings and significant activities of the ministry;

(2)   Takes minutes and disseminates copies of approved minutes;

(3)   Maintains records of the ministry;

(4)   Arranges the efficient conduct of ministry meetings/activities, e.g. venue, supplies, refreshments;

(5)   Maintains an updated directory of ministry members and frequently called parish leaders;

(6)   Performs other tasks as may be directed by the Chairperson.

 

d.     Treasurer

 

(1)   Withdraws from the FinCom quarterly budget allocation of the ministry;

(2)   Disburses ministry funds for authorized expenditures and monitors the same;

(3)   Prepares monthly expenditures reporting and liquidation statements for submission for FinCom;

(4)   Attends periodic meetings convened by the FinCom;

(5)   Performs other tasks as may be directed by the Chairperson.

    

e.      Auditor

 

(1)   Performs necessary audits of funds and financial records of the ministry and

submits required reports to the FinCom;

(2)   Attends periodic meetings convened by the FinCom;

(3)   Performs other tasks as may be directed by the Chairperson.
